   The corps crest is comprised of 4 symbols that represents the service and heritage of the corps namesake, John A. Hamilton.

   -The clover leaf is a symbol of Ireland, the birthplace of John A. Hamilton.

   -The Navy in which he served is represented with the anchor in the lower left.

   -A net in the lower right represents the boom nets used in the anti-submarine defense during WWII.

   -In the top center is a shark which was often used as a symbol druing WWII of Uboats. In this case its shown as a Uboat trying to get past the net and into the harbour where the ships were anchored.
